RELATED WORKSHOP

The day before the Conference (26th April 1999) an Industrial Agent Workshop, organised by ACTS CLIMATE (Cluster for Intelligent Mobile Agents for Telecommunication Environments), will be held at the North Campus of the UPC (Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya), in Barcelona. The Workshop will be dealing with experiences in the usage of agent platforms and design of agent-based applications, and trying to solve the question: Is agent technology ready to use in business?

The full conference registration fee for speakers will have a discount of 10%.

SHOWCASE

The Showcase takes place on the first day of the conference, Tuesday 27th April 1999.

Industrial exhibitors will show products and services in network management systems, intelligent networks, distributed object technologies, agent technologies, on-demand services, and security.

On the Showcase day there will be two half hour conference coffee breaks, and drinks will be served in the exhibition area following the afternoon conference session. A flyer will be distributed to all conference delegates, and a poster put on display, giving information about the exhibiting companies and products or projects. The exhibition area is adjacent to the conference room.

The following companies already confirmed their participation Cinderella (Denmark), IKV++ (Germany), Media Technology Group (Spain), Telelogic (Sweden), TeleManagement Forum (TMF) (USA), Telscom-Wipro Infotech (Switzerland), UH Communications (Denmark) and Deutsche Telekom Berkom (Germany).

Furthermore, several ACTS and ESPRIT projects, such as AgentLink, CAMELEON, CLIMATE, InfoBridge, MISA and TOSCA will also participate.

Space in the Showcase is free provided that your company or project registers at least two delegates in the Conference.

BEST PAPER AWARD

The paper receiving the best rating in the review will receive a symbolic gift during the cocktail on 28th (19:00) at Telefónica.
