CALL FOR PAPERS International Workshop on OpenMP: Experiences and Implementations (part of the International Symposium on High Performance Computing ISHPC2K) National Olympics Memorial Youth Center (Yoyogi, Tokyo, JAPAN) October 18, 2000 OpenMP is emerging as an industry standard interface for shared memory programming of parallel computer applications. OpenMP offers a way to write applications with a shared memory programming model portable to a wide range of parallel computers. In addition, a number of research groups are devoting their efforts to envisage future enhancements of the language, implement tools, compilers and run-time enviroments. The workshop focusses his attention on different aspects of OpenMP. On one side, experiences from application developers in the use of the language and performance of real applications. On the other side, experiences in the implementation of tools supporting the development and parallelization of applications with OpenMP or supporting the final execution on different computing platforms. The workshop also welcomes experiences in moving ideas and concepts from other programming models like HPF to OpenMP. The workshop is organized as part of the International Symposium on High Performance Computing 2000 (ISHPC2K). The symposium will bring together researchers, developers and advanced users from academia, business and industry to share information and explore novel ideas on high performance computing from the three perspectives of software, architecture and applications. We strongly encourage potential participants to submit papers for presentation at the workshop and publication in the ISHPC proceedings. Submissions follow the general guidelines and deadlines of ISHPC and will be reviewed by at least three referees. All submissions must be received by April 30, 2000. Submit a postscript or PDF file (by E-mail) to eduard@ac.upc.es. A manuscript should include the title, author's information (name(s),affiliation, postal address, E-mail address and phone and FAX numbers), a 100 word abstract, five (5) specific keywords and the full text (with figures and tables). The manuscript should not exceed 15 double-spaced typing pages. Submitted papers will be acknowledged by E-mail promptly. Notification of acceptance or rejection will be done by June 5, 2000. Camera-ready version of the accepted papers is due by July 7, 2000.
