Welcome to PACT-2003

PACT-03 will be held in New Orleans, LA, a major cultural center of the southern United States. The city offers such attractions such as the French Quarter, Bourbon St., the Mississippi River and is the home of jazz music.

PACT is a multi-disciplinary conference that brings together researchers from the hardware and software areas to present ground-breaking research related to parallel systems ranging across instruction-level parallelism, thread-level parallelism, multiprocessor parallelism and distributed systems.

PACT features cutting-edge research in architecture, compilers, languages and applications across a broad range of topics, including, but not limited to:

• Hardware/software optimizations for memory hierarchies
• Programming languages for parallel scientific and object-oriented applications
• Superscalar, VLIW, and multithreading architectures
• I/O, network processing and O/S issues for parallel computing
