Introduction

The first Workshop on Challenges for Parallel Computing was held in 2005 to serve as a meeting point between industry and academic peers interested in the development on parallel computing. In particular, to analyze which are the new trends in the field. Due to the success of the first edition a second edition is planned that we hope is as useful to all attendees as the first one.
